Mountain West Lawyers was designed to provide exceptional legal service in personal injury and criminal matters in the great state of Nevada. Jeffrey Gomel has practiced personal injury law in Nevada for 35 years. Jason Earnest has practiced criminal law in Nevada for over 20 years, handling the full scope of criminal matters, from traffic citations to murder. In addition to his private practice, he has served as a Public Defender for Nye County since 2000.
Mountain West Lawyers was formed in 2013 to combine the strengths of both attorneys in order to represent, protect, and defend the rights of clients when their lives are so traumatically affected by injury or arrest.
Our team has over fifty-five years of litigation experience, and has successfully recovered over $25 million in verdicts and settlements for our clients. Although most cases settle before trial, our team has a significant success rate in both civil and criminal jury trials, with over sixty verdicts in our favor.

The Lawyers
JEFFREY R. GOMEL, ESQ.
Mr. Gomel focuses his practice on civil litigation in the areas of personal injury and insurance law. He has tried a significant number of civil jury cases to verdict, has recovered numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts, and has recovered total verdicts in excess of $12 million. He has successfully uncapped numerous insurance policies based upon the insurance company's bad faith and unfair practices.
Mr. Gomel attended high school in Iowa, college in Missouri, and law school in Kansas before relocating to Nevada in 1986. He has applied the work ethic learned on the farm to his practice of law. During his free time, he enjoys skiing, golfing, fishing, and many other outdoor recreational activities with his four children.

JASON L. EARNEST, ESQ.
Mr. Earnest takes the rights of individuals seriously, and has no problem taking the government to task when it infringes on his clients' constitutional rights. He has successfully represented thousands of clients charged with criminal misconduct. He has taken his trial advocacy skills learned in the criminal court room, and applied them to zealously pursue his injured clients' interests against insurance companies.
Mr. Earnest was born and raised in Colorado. When away from the firm, he is an avid golfer and skier.
